State of Emergency Update: Notice for Non-Local Visitors
Widespread power outages persist across many areas in the County and numerous roads remain impassable due to fallen trees and downed power lines. County Public Works crews have been working around the clock alongside Hydro One and local Township Public Works teams to clear roads and remove debris.
Approximately 56.88% of properties across Peterborough County are currently without power (source: poweroutage.com). Hydro One crews are working hard to restore electricity. Reminder, stay 10 metres away from any downed power lines and report them to Hydro One at 1-800-434-1235. We remind you to only travel if necessary, in order for Hydro One and Public Works crews to continue with clean up activities.
Hydro One has indicated that full power restoration across the County may take several days. Residents should prepare for an extended power outage and can check the Hydro One StormCentre Outage Map for updates. Please do not call 911 for power outages.
